The Tortorella Family Foundation was delighted to assist PSPCA with their inaugural Pittie fest. This event provided PSPCA with the opportunity to showcase their pit bulls, promote them for adoption, educate adopters about them and debunk old myths.
The result? 49 Pit Bulls were adopted between July 16th and August 11th at PSPCA’s four sites: Philadelphia, Danville, Lancaster and Main Line Animal Rescue. Many had been at the shelter for over a year and one was 14 years-old!
Bravo to the PSPCA for their tireless efforts on behalf of of Pit Bulls and and all the animals under their compassionate care.

Dee was adopted during the first week of Pittiefest, and has already captured the hearts of her new family. When we followed up with them to check in, they summed it up perfectly – “We couldn’t imagine life without her.”
Trigger was rescued by our Animal Law Enforcement Team in January of 2023. He made many friends during his longer stay with us, but thanks to Pittiefest, he finally found a forever family.
At 14 years old Quinn was the oldest dog at our shelter. She waited over an entire year for a home and found the best one during Pittiefest.
