Meet Buddy. His “owner” is dying of cancer and reached out to find someone to take this 5-year-old purebred Blue Heeler. Buddy has had no recent vetting, and he was never neutered. It is suspected Buddy will be Heartworm positive, as he has been neglected since his owner’s health has declined. Adopt Me Animal Rescue in Wisconsin was contacted and agreed to take Buddy in from rural North Carolina and find him a new home. This rescue granted a dying man’s wish and gave Buddy a chance at a better life. But the vetting bills could add up fast. So the Tortorella Foundation agreed to help!
