Chico is a 5-year-old boy and an American bulldog/basset hound mix. He’s a big guy at 74 lbs (73 of which appear to be in his noggin)! Chico is a friendly, boisterous guy who will need to stay on the calm side for the next few months — he’s heartworm positive and has to stick to leash walks, nosework, food puzzles and more while he gets his treatments.
Chico is eligible for foster-to-adopt, which means he can receive the care he needs in a home instead of at the shelter, his heartworm treatment will be covered by the SPCA at our clinic, and when his treatments are done you can finalize the adoption! Please e-mail trainer@spca914.org with questions or to inquire about making Chico yours!
Chico is a part of the Tortorella Foundation sponsored “The Way Home” program. Chico and all of the SPCA of Westchester’s animals can be seen at www.spca914.org and the SPCA of Westchester is located in Briarcliff Manor, NY.
