Bellona is an 18-month old cat that came to Pets Alive as a kitten. She and her three siblings all had leg deformities and were rescued after being swept up in a TNR (Trap-Neuter/Spay-Return) project on Long Island. Pets Alive took in all four kittens from that local shelter to save them from the risk of euthanasia.
While all three of Bellona’s siblings have since been adopted, Bellona continues to wait for that special person to come along. She is a sweet kitty and loves to play. Her hind legs are crisscrossed like she’s in a permanent yoga position but that doesn’t stop her from romping around our sanctuary! She is litter-box trained and scoots around with her front paws. She gets along very well with other cats. She would do best in a home that has been safeguarded for her deformity, such as protecting her from access to stairs.
Bellona and animals just like her are available for adoption from Pets Alive, 363 Derby Road, Middletown, NY. For information about them, visit petsalive.com or call Pets Alive at 845-386-9738.
