Believing that literacy and education are the cornerstones of building a kinder world, the Tortorella Family Foundation provided three scholarships to the SPCA of Westchester’s 2017 Camp Critter program.
Camp Critter is a series of week-long, summer sessions for young people that incorporate age-appropriate learning and activities centered around the importance of kindness and compassion for all living things.
The SPCA hosts the annual “Camp Critter” in the summer for children ages six through twelve. Participants have fun while interacting with animals, learning about sheltering, animal care, animal cruelty, and how they can make a difference in the lives of homeless animals.
