Alvin is a young Lab/Shepherd mix that the SPCA of Westchester rescued as a tiny puppy from a high kill shelter. He just passed his C.L.A.S.S. B.A. test, and here he is with his volunteer handler Ellen sporting a new ribbon to announce the achievement! C.L.A.S.S. stands for Canine Life and Social Skills, and by earning his B.A., Alvin has shown that he’s mastered things like meet and greets, loose leash walking, stay, settle, leave it, and more. In other words, he’s one smart, well-trained pup! It’s time for this star student to go home! Although shy with strangers he has come such a long way and can’t wait to meet his forever family! Alvin is a part of the Tortorella Foundation sponsored “The Way Home” program. Alvin and all of the SPCA of Westchester’s animals can be seen at www.spca914.org and the SPCA of Westchester is located in Briarcliff Manor, NY.
